Katten Chairman Gil Soffer and London Managing Partner Christopher Hitchins spoke with Law360 about Katten 2030, the firm's strategic plan focused on growth, collaboration and profitability. Gil said the firm intends to pursue the plan without private equity investment or a major merger. “We don’t intend to become part of some very large law firm that would effectively swallow us up — that’s not in the cards.” As the firm grows from about 650 attorneys toward 800, he added, “We want to bring in talent, but not just the oneses and the twoses, ideally we take on teams.”
